A wonderful gift for a new student, graduate or just because. I

It’s approximately 24″ x 28″ We drew out our pattern and hand cut it out of cabinet grade birch ply. We then sanded it down, did a coat of wood conditioner, a rich red mahogany stain and a few coats of poly. Once we were good to go I spent HOURS marking the design and hand driving hundreds of nails. All before then wrapping several layers of crochet thread around every nail. This design was tedious but, we were all thrilled with how it came out.
