Wooden Angel Wings

These angel wings are the most meaningful things we’ve been asked to create.

The first set we made was to honor my Momma. They’re stained in Honey, painted an understated antiqued white, given more sparkle than she’d ever ask for and hung by a silver thread. Whew. That got me in the feels to write out. <3 I just wanna share so that you know…. we know all too well what it’s like to lose loved ones and wanna find ways to keep their memories alive or acknowledge the lives they lived somehow. I can assure you, every remembrance piece we make to honor your loved ones will have just as much loved poured into as it would for our own.

After we did the first set I immediately wanted to offer these to other people. So, we tried out some different color combos… whites, sparkle, no sparkle, black, black & red metallic with glitter, black w/ purple and red white & blue had to happen.

Then, we got an unexpected request. “Can you make us a temporary headstone marker? I know it isn’t what you probably typically do but, I loved the sign you made me for the restaurant…” ‘Wait. You need what?!’ Was running through my head before she even finished speaking. Our friend had recently lost a grand baby. The headstone was going to take weeks to arrive and obviously they didn’t want to have a service with no marker. She asked for a “sign or plaque” they could lay down. We immediately told her we’d make something and started tossing around ideas. We settled on the same wing pattern we were doing but, cut with an area for name and dates. We used a thicker, treated wood that was more suitable to outdoors and added a heavier sealer, pipe and clamps like Mom and I did for yard art to the back. I’m happy to report everyone loved it and so far so good on standing up to the elements.

We do normally prefer to make these for INDOOR USE.
Most of our stains are water based and paints or usually acrylic.
They can be made to hang on the wall or be freestanding.

The last order we received were for the purple wings. After my friend delivered ’em to her family she sent me back some pictures that made me tear up and a new idea. She said they decided to place it on the fireplace mantle and attach a small command hook to the backside to hang her loved ones ashes. <3 Going forward… if you want to have this as an option just LMK and we’ll attach hardware for you. That’s a wonderful idea and it’ll stand the test of time.

We do ask all orders be paid in advance as these are custom pieces.
Current turn around is currently about 2wks. on MADE TO ORDER items.
Dimensions: Approximately 11″ x 22″ either 1″ or 2″ thick.

These wings spend 6-7hrs on the CNC & being prepped. Then, they are hand sanded/detailed by yours truly before getting wood conditioner, stain, paints and all the make pretty things. lol I coat everything with a crystal clear sealer. All in all they’re probably 15-16hrs of love.
