It has begun!
In the words of Shang Tsung from Mortal Kombat, “It has begun!” I’m working out, mostly eating healthy, and drinking the right liquids. Amazingly, even though I “enjoy” doing most of the workouts, it’s really hard to stay on track. In order to help prevent slipping back into my old ways, I have put together the below set of rules. These are not set in stone; although, they can be amended ONLY to benefit my progress. Do you have a code that you follow? The comments are open to recommendations. 🙂
1.) Get to bed early and do your best to work out in the morning. If it doesn’t work out, your last chance to do the day’s routine is that afternoon.
2.) Work out everyday. If you must miss a day, do not make it up the next day. Continue on like you never missed a day. (Based on previous attempts, if I try to makeup a day, it actually causes me to get off track and miss more days.) Don’t get angry or quite because of one day. There will be many more to come. Life happens.
3.) Don’t look back on a competed workout and wish you would have worked out harder. “Do your best and forget the rest.”
4.) If it doesn’t benefit your health, don’t put it in your mouth. Every calorie counts. You have a nutrition guide. Follow it, and drink lots of water.
5.) Take pictures, measurements, and log workout results. Only weigh yourself on the specified program days. Typically day 1, 30, 60, and 90. “How will you know what to do, if you don’t know what you did.”
