Blogging
How do you blog? Do you write down your thoughts throughout the day? Do you sit and write the entire blog at once? Does it take you a few minutes or a few hours? I don’t have a definite answer. This post, I’m writing on the fly. What if something comes up? What if I have to walk away? I’m sure this happens to you. Not only while blogging, but while writing a paper for school, trying to put together an email for your boss, etc… The reasons are limitless! How do you recover from such a disaster as having to walk away right in the middle of a good thought? My solution: I jot down a bunch of ideas I have in my head and save them for a later time. Then, throughout the day when I have time, I try my best to format my garbage into legible paragraphs for the reader to understand. I even Google for correct spelling and grammar. I specifically use a tool called Evernote, which allows me to store images, notes, links, screenshots, etc… The best part… Well, there are a few best parts! it’s free! And, there is an app for almost every device! Android, iPhone, iPad, MacBook, Windows, the web… I’m sure there are more. The absolute best part is they way it syncs. As I’m writing this blog on a Windows machine, I can move over to my iPad and pick up exactly where I left off. There may be a small lag, but nothing worth complaining about. I’m free to move about as I write my rough drafts. If you’re interested, head over to https://www.evernote.com/ and setup an account. It’s pretty straight forward. They have a few more free products that you may be interested in as well, which also sync into Evernote. Have fun and be sure comment with the tools that you use!
